Born in London and bred in Italy & NZ.

Lise graduated in 1984 with a Fashion & Textile degree from the Istituto Marangoni in Milan, Italy.

Her first design job was at FIORUCCI swiftly followed by a consultancy
for a company based in New Dehli. The brief was to design a collection
for the European Dept. store market.

In late 1985 she landed her first proper full time job as ROMEO GIGLI'S right hand design assistant. 'My maestro and....my fashion PHD!'. The company was small and expanding fast - Lise worked in many different areas - accessories, embroideries, knitwear, fittings, textile research , show castings whilst also handling international press relations. Most of the action in those heady times took place in CORSO COMO 10 - which remains a centrepoint for fashion culture in Milan today.
