Barbara Strathdee

'I learnt much more about the world and it's culture through growing up with my mother's work. Barbara has been travelling between Italy and NZ since I can remember. In both countries she has been an active part of art life contributing to the local culture with her exhibitions. Currently based in Wellington, NZ, Barbara has entrusted me to be her agent and take care of the business side of her art.'

Daniel James Newnham's show 'Drawings & Photographs' took place on the first two floors of Lise's London town house in sep/oct 2003.

Downstairs a series of photographs taken by the artist of local urban details depicting fuck ups occurring on the streets due to hi-density population.

Upstairs a series of drawings about the relationship - both present and past - between Auckland and London.
